    Hey guys,

I'm close to pulling the trigger on the Y410p deal listed here but read somewhere that the Lenovo Barnes & Nobel Gold program gets you a further discount that brings down the 1600x900 model to $809.

Tried clicking on the link listed by this guy, but still seeing the $849 before tax price.

Anyone know whether the discount's still live?

The discount is still there! go to google type Lenovo Barnes and Noble, click on the first link, and you need to make an account to access the discounts.

Are you able to get the 1600x900 model for $809? Been trying it on and off with no luck.

I don't believe it's just the Barnes & Noble, it's probably any sort of EPP (employee purchase plan). I got the $809 deal as well through my employee portal.

EDIT: According to Slickdeals Forum, you should be able to create an account here to get the deal: http://slickdeals.net/?sdtid=6022186&sdfpid=94978&sdop=1&sdpid=59389170&sdfid=9&lno=1&trd=http+shop+lenovo+com+SEUILibrar+&u2=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.lenovo.com%2FSEUILibrary%2Fcontroller%2Fe%2Fna%2FStdAffinityPortal%2Fen_US%2FLenovo%3AEnterStdAffinity%3Faffinity%3Dbarnesnoblegold

Here's the Slickdeals thread from another deal that talks about signing up for the discount.

Did you see my post about how to sign up (directions via slickdeals)? I have not tried it, but apparently others have and succeeded.

Yep, eventually got it. I realized my problem.

I'd made the account, but each time I was clicking on the notebook deals picture at the top right of the screen, I was being re-directed to the notebooks sans EPP discounts. I was able to find the $809 price tag with the 1600x900 displays ONLY after I went to the top of the page, chose "notebooks," and manually went to the Y410p section.

Very strange, wish people on SD had been more specific!!

USPY416606 is confirmed. I just ordered a 1680x900p model Y410p yesterday and got it for $799. I did have to haggle with the service rep on the phone but he ended up honoring it.
