    Hello all,

I recently encountered an issue with my computer and it's pissing me off. It was working fine until 3 days ago when it decided to start freezing. I had Chrome open and it completely froze (no ctr+alt+del) nothing. Had to hold down the power button. Restarted, same thing. Froze again after 3-4 minutes. So I started backing up my files and it would freeze midtransfer. Took another 6-7 restarts to transfer everything over.

I decided a factory reset would hopefully help the issue. Lo and behold, it did not. Instead, I had to reinstall those windows updates and get to 8.1 all over again. In addition, the freezing resumed once I reinstalled Chrome. So I took it off. Used IE instead. No freezing up until earlier today (18 hours later). Now it's frozen twice in the last 30 minutes.

Is this a hardware issue? Or some perma malware that needs to be kicked out? any help/tips will be appreciated!
