I've been searching on here and on Google and can't seem to find out whether or not the 120GB Runcore T50 SATA III SSD is compatible with the Lenovo Y470. I've found places that say that it's compatible with the Y460, and there's even a thread on here that someone has said it works with the Y470 but there isn't anything "solid". Does anyone know if it is?

The Runcore SSD I'm talking about can be found here: Buy 120GB Runcore Pro V mSATA SSD (Mini SATA PCI-e) 50mm SATA III 6Gbps.

I'm torn between buying a 128GB MyDigitalSSD SSD which is SATA II and costs around $240, or the 120GB Runcore SSD which is SATA III and costs around $335. There's a difference of about $95, so if the Y470 is SATA III compatible, I think I would more likely go for the Runcore.

If anyone has any advice, please let me know, I'll really appreciate it!

There's little practical difference between SATA II and III. The benefit of a SSD is the near instantaneous seek times, which won't change going from SATA II to III. SATA III is only beneficial if you put a heavy load on the controller like copying and pasting files. Typical notebook usage does not place a heavy load on the controller.
