    This thread will be all about experiences in overclocking any other problems with Y50 and hardware mods.

    I faced a problem with my fps while gaming it used to drop dramatically like from 60fps to <20fps.

    by looking at a few posts some of the people had problems with wifi connectivity, slow startup times after a few days and throttling.

    I think its because of the bloatware installed on this machine and also due to the numerous partitions which it came preloaded.

    So the solution was to clean install windows.

    Get a software to extract the key from your Y50 save it somewhere then do a clean install of windows 8

    ~~problem i faced in lenovo laptops~~

    I purchased lenovo premium series y50-70 on march 2015 from "the do store"
    lenovo y50-70 (16gb and 4k ver).........1.14 lacs

    After 3 months on july 20th i opened the lid of lenovo y50-70, a cracking sound came,i lifted my lid down to see what happened and then again that sound came, i couldn't open or close my lid.

    Its supporters was gone..panel completely broken which help display in support.

    After that on july 21st,i submitted my lenovo y50-70 at local lenovo service center,after 2 days i went there n asked about my service details,the girl at lenovo center told me n showed me on her monitor that parts will come on August 8th(around 19 days),so i was waiting for August 8th.

    On August 5th,i received a call from lenovo call center,again a girl talk to me and told me that "we don't have parts for your laptop in india,so we are arranging them from abroad". I asked her"why u don't know this earlier n why u gave me fake n wrong date of arrival". She said "sir we will do our best and we will make it soon".bul ****

    On August 6th,i again went to my local lenovo service center and asked them about it,they replied with fake smile that"sir we cant do any thing about it,if you received a call from lenovo that means it will take more time coz we here are out of these type of knowledge".
    Now they gave me a new date that is August 25th to August 30th(july 21 to aug 30,around 40 days).

    I was waiting for the date they given to me but today on August 18th again i received a call from lenovo customer care,she told me "sir,we are arranging parts from abroad n u hav to wait till September 15th"...what the ****..lenovo still searching for parts and from past 30 days they don't know whether parts available here or not.they dont have parts even for there new series laptops.

    I was happy that i have accidental warranty but after these type of fake concern n lying to there customers,who bought there premium laptops these type of service is not a solution.

    what ****y quality laptops lenovo making for customers,cheap china product in lacs ????

    lenovo thinks that Indian peoples money is waste, and we are fools..?

    i spend my 1.14 lacs in your low quality laptop.

    i used HP, dell and asus...they are far better that you

    its my mistake that i purchased lenovo,i will not recommended any one to go for lenovo

    Guys plz don't buy lenovo products..not only me even i know many peoples who are facing same service problems,stay away from lenovo

    ill post same matter with problem n bill n images i sent you to every site related to buyers,on Facebook and every where to tell buyers not go for lenovo or u have to face these annoying problems about this ****ing laptop and lenovo pathetic service and quality..

    lenovo is fraud company, making people fool and eating there hard earned money,assholes

    i want my money back...return your garbage piece of **** back,

    I am going to complain in consumer court

    Hey, in cases like these, call sales or customer support and demand what's wrong, you paid a premium for their service and they fail to deliver. Mention that you will file a complaint if anything is not done soon. It's sadly how these big companies are dealt with, when i ordered my Y50, it was almost a month late, called customer support, talked firmly, then angrily, and ended up getting a 15% discount and y50 shipped a week later :) Dw dost, bas call karo and gussa dikhao ;)

    Also, the hinge problem is a known issue (that lenovo fixes for free), so mention that this problem is very common, and not isolated (google around). Not having the parts for the common broken hinge problem is absolutely unacceptable
