I just purchased a Lenovo Y50 UHD about a week ago, and the keyboard has been really bugging me. All the keys in the near vicinity of the 'G' and 'H' key in the center of the keyboard for some reason trigger a weird flex/trampoline style effect, which is very noticeable compared to keys near the edge of the keyboard (Tab, Q, number pad, etc.) I'm not sure if this is something that is prevalent in all models of the Y50 or Y50 UHD so it'd be great if i got some feedback from other owners. I'm definitely considering returning if this is a common problem.

    Thanks.

Hey, how's it going. I signed up just to reply to this thread.

Last night I brought home a new Y50, and it appears to have this extreme keyboard flex you speak of.
I've been running Macbooks for the past 10 years, so maybe I've been spoiled with build quality, but this y50 keyboard is a joke. The trackpad blows too, but thats a different story.

In another thread on here someone said that the build dates has something to do with the faulty keyboards. This y50 is dated May 24 2014, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Either way, I'll be returning it and going for the MSI gs60 instead.

    cheers.

When you say "flex," do you mean that the center of the keyboard has more give when you depress a key than the edge of the keyboard? It could be that it's not fitted and secured properly. Beyond that, we haven't heard of this being a prevalent model defect.
