Mine gets a little hotter than my Dell Inspiron E1705 & i9300 but not a lot. I doubt it gets any hotter than my G4 Powerbooks did. The Y510 was accidentally placed in a padded sleeve and then into a backpack powered up for about 40 minutes a few weeks ago -- it was unbelievably hot when that happened. Somehow Vista didn't sleep when I told it to -- I think it was doing some sort of update. But it didn't crash, and after a few minutes with some airflow temps returned to normal.
