Hi guys,
I'm currently scouting for a laptop that could be used for casual gaming on an external monitor.
The only thing I'm worried is the heat generated during gaming when plugged onto a 24 inch 1920x1080 monitor.
Are there any owners of Y510P Single Graphic Card that could provide me with some experiences on gaming with this laptop using an external monitor?
I'm also looking at ASUS G46VW. Will be getting one of them soon so any comments are appreciated.
Regards.

I'm currently using it on an external monitor and most of the time I don't even realize I'm using a laptop (as opposed to my desktop) I game for 3-4 hours straight some times (with OC for GPU and ThrottleStop for the CPU) and it still runs great. This is with the SLI version, with the single If I remember it generates less heat.

Im using a 1080p monitor for gaming. Currently playing Sims 3 and Guild wars 2. After a repaste, temps stay under 80C which is pretty good. Though, i dont think there is any difference between gaming on a laptop screen vs external monitor.
