Hi guys, I just want to share my experience with the battery life of this laptop. I am getting 4+ hours (I think it can last up to 5 hours) using specific setting I have done.

These are the steps that I did:

1- Replaced the GPU in the ultrabay with the bluray disk reader.
2- Download Intel Graphics drivers from Lenovo website.
3- After you have installed the drivers right click on your desktop and chose Graphics Properties then click on Power. Click "On Battery" tab then chose Maximum Battery Life under Power Plans, and change the Display Power Saving Technology to Maximum Battery.
4- Change the settings under Lenovo Energy Management (you will find the icon in your status bar) to Power Saver.
5- Keep you brightness in the middle or below settings.

I found these settings keeps my battery lasts much longer than before. I am currently at almost %50 and there are 2 hours left. I am using my laptop for web browsing such as emails and some Microsoft Office Word.

By the way I have the latest Nvidia drivers.

Please let me know if it did work for you.

If you have a Y410P or single card Y510P, optimus/Intel GPU works out of the box.

Open Nvidia Control Panel, 3D settings, Preferred Graphics Processor:

High Performance Nvidia Processor = Nvidia Only
    Auto-Select = Optimus
    Integrated Graphics = Intel Only

As mentioned above that replacing the second GPU with a bluray disk will increase battery life. But I want to how can I buy a ultra-bay bluray/dvd/hdd/battery, there are no signs of those products anywhere either on Lenovo site or other shopping sites. I can't even find a dummy to cover the ultrabay. Please somebody help me.
