Hey guys, been reading up on your forums for years but never had a problem that an existing post wasnt able to solve for me... Until now.
    Anyways here it goes:
    Lenovo Y570
    i7 - 8gb ram - GT555m - Windows 7 -
    Etc.

Stock built in wireless card was a Intel Centrino 2200 or 2300? That one was replaced before i bought the laptop with an Intel Centrino 6300 (w/o lenovo FRU) And it worked fine for the first 2 months i owned it. I then installed a SSD and reformatted. Well now it constantly disconnects from the internet (yes i have tried every recommendation on this forum including drivers, bluetooth interference etc)... Well then i figured maybe its the wireless card so i bought a Killer Wireless-N 1103. Worked great on a fresh install for about a week. Then the same problem started again once i installed my graphics driver. So i tried uninstalling it to no avail.
Oh Yeah, i did update to a bios with the whitelist removed. (tried 3 different versions)

It stays connected to the Wireless network but gives me an exclamation point whenever i try downloading large files. Sometimes there is an exclamation point and sometimes there isnt. Im stumped because when i plug in my Linksys AE1000 Usb Wifi Adapter, it runs perfectly without any problems... EVEr.
Also, if i disconnect from the network and reconnect it immediately regains internet connection back. I do use this computer for gaming and the constant disconnects are irritating. I even bought a lenovo branded centrino 2200 and installed it using the stock bios and it still had the same problems.

    Any advice for me guys?

    Thanks in Advance, Sean

Try the Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260. I never had a problem with disconnects nor disconnecting while downloading or uploading GB sized files. It never disconnected at me ever.

Make sure to buy this exact model: 7260.hmwnbwb or else you might get the one with integrated Bluetooth which will conflict with Broadcom Bluetooth that's already included. The model with integrated Bluetooth is called 7260.hmwanwb. If you don't care about losing both intel integrated Bluetooth as well as Broadcom Bluetooh, you can get the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260: 7260.hmwg and have the ultimate WiFi performance for your Y570.

First off it's both the Centrino 6300 and 7260 are not supported WiFi cards on the Y570 without a modded white-listed BIOS which I believe cbautis2 has running on his Y570 machine but has failed to mention it at all.

    @ SeanW727

There are fake Centrino 6300 cards out there and chances are if you bought the laptop used and the previous owner bought the card cheap off eBay it's maybe a fake.

I'm also running a Centrino 7260 on my Y570 which has the modded white-list BIOS but from what I can tell there's no difference between the Centrino 7260 and the older Centrino 6205 (which had prior before upgrading to a Centriono 7260) besides the power consumption unless you get the AC version with Bluetooth 4.0.

Personally, I'd recommend you get a Centrino 6205 (which is fully compatible with the Y570 with official BIOS's) and not mess around with modded BIOS's unless you know for certain what you are doing.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond.
I already have the modded bios. However, having the same problem with both cards is starting to make me wonder.
Thanks for the responses. I may just stick with my USB stick for the time being. Thanks for the advice guys.
