This is for a Lenovo Ideapad Y570
Ok, so my laptop fell off my bed while it was charging and fell right on the charge port. When this happened it dislodged the female charge port and jammed it inside the case. Also both metal brackets that hold the screen are broken. The side with the charge port is pretty wrecked. The brass things (I don't know what they are called) are broken off and that bracket has nothing to hold on to. The other side is broken too but it has been holding.
This is the second time I have the laptop disassembled. The first time I used some JB Weld (the gray stuff) and glued the charge port to the bottom shell. It seems to be firmly in place.
Every time I open and close the laptop the bracket opens the shell on that side. I need to fix this issue or it may damage the shell further. I either need to buy a replacement shell or do a massive glue job to try and fix it.
This guy had a similar problem, but it seems he was able to fix it: http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...astic-around-hinge-urgent-help-images.524545/
He was last active in 2010 so I don't think he will reply to my messages.
Here is the pictures of my problem: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BxdYuXna2vuYYzM5QnBMX0ljVUk?usp=sharing (I don't have a photobucket account)
Right now I have the laptop disassembled and I am applying 2-3 layers of JB Plasticweld. I think in the forum thread above he used epoxy putty. I picked the plastic weld because it was the product with the best tensile strength at the hardware store. Tensile strength is what I need for the opening action of the hinge to stay in place.
Does anyone with some experience have some advice or tips for this repair? I guess my question is this: would you recommend gluing the brass screw things back in place or should I do that and also JB Weld the hinges to the bottom of the shell? Doing the latter would make it extremely difficult to take apart the laptop ever again, but I am willing to do it as a last resort (short of buying the new shell).

Here is the left side hinge. This one is tricky to glue but it should hold in place because it has 3 hold points. 1 screw goes through the motherboard so I'm not too worried about this one.
This side got pretty demolished. As you can see the brass things are completely ripped out and the screws have nothing to hold on to.
