Hello, i have a Lenovo Y570 with i5 and 4gb of ram and whenever I play games like Skyrim, Assassins Creed Revelations, and Crysis 2 my FPS stays between 20-40 no matter what graphics settings i have on.If I play on Low the Fps will stay around 30 with slight lag when I get into combat or a lot of people are around. I was looking on YouTube and some people can max out their games with the GT555m. I have the latest drivers on lenovos site and i tried the latest grpahics on nvidias site but it still does the same. Can you give me suggestions to my problem, thanks.

One thing to keep in mind is that there are different versions of the GT 555m. The y570 has a slower version of the 555m and those games are also pretty tasking. Does turning V sync off in those games allow the FPS to increase? You may also want to check the y570/y470 owners thread to see what others are getting on these machines, if you haven't already.

And also someone has a video of their gt540m maxed out on assassin creed revelations and im sure a gt 555m is better than a gt 540m

You do have the GPU on right? I am actually really impressed with my Y570 and its performance.

make sure the games are using the nvidia gpu
i have the y570 and i run SC2 on a mix of ultra & high and it doesnt drop under 45 fps at all
right click the exe and make sure its set to run with the nvidia gpu

Also make sure you are using the nVIDIA 296.10 drivers as the default driver suck so much! I can't even play videos smoothly with them
