I have searched this forum, and all over google. I can't find anything that helps me with my problem. I am getting bad performance in games on the laptop. I have the laptop running on the GT 555m and it is on the high fan setting. The power profile is also set to High performance. I am at a loss for what to do. When playing a game I get good fps for a second then it just starts to lag.

I just got the laptop yesterday, and I am having the same issue that many people have with the laptop, with the stuttering in game. I can't seem to find a optimization guide for this laptop.

I think I found the problem, the computer was used, it had windows installed and i think that the person may have botched the instillation is there anyway for me to be able to make restore DVD's for the laptop to bring it back to stock like when it left the factory or am I going to have to install a copy of my windows and fallow one of the fresh install guides.

So, I have done a factory install of the OS, and I am still having some issues. The computer is much faster, and more responsive, but I am having issues with gaming. games will play fine for a couple of seconds lag for a little bit then play fine.really don't understand why.

Click on Energy Management app >> Click the little gear in the bottom (not in the side the one in the bottom there are 2 gears on the main screen). Click on Smart Power Saving ... disable both options.

This worked for me .. let me know how you go.
