    Lenovo Y580 issue- Lenovo Batter Management Software Ver 7.0 has stopped working on startup

    I get this message every time I start my computer up. It has only happened today.

    With this crashing, the display no longer pops up when I use my fn keys to adjust brightness and volume. Also the buttons at the top of the laptop don't work. I can disable this on startup in msconfig, but that doesn't really solve my problem because I want to use this software for efficient battery usage and I want those buttons to work. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no dice. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

    Edit: Just uninstalled and reinstalled all my Lenovo drivers, and no luck. As soon as I install the Energy Management software it tells me Battery Management Software has stopped working. Not sure what to do!!

    sounds like a windows error.

    do a chkdsk repair.

    Chkdsk came up with no errors. I tried to copy and paste a new user32.dll into the system folder but it says I need privileges.

    then do it in safe mode, and use administrator account.

    The only account I have on this computer is the administrator, naturally. And I tried it and safe mode but still said the same thing. Perhaps it's still in use?

    Guys this is no fun when you by Ff+F5 disable your wi-fi and bluetooth adapter and then this baterry mgmt soft stops working and you are unable to switch it back. I could really use some help here otherwise I'm without wifi :(
