    I see the Y650 now carries a 18 mo. warranty. Almost ready to pull trigger.

    Oh, that's good - better than the industry standard of 1 year. Looks like a solid laptop as well. Hope to hear about it when you buy & receive it. :)

    I'm waiting for someone else to buy and receive it first. I was the first to receive the Dell Studio XPS 1640 and sent it back after one week.

    Beautiful RGB Led screen. Though, the 1920 X 1080 resolution was a bit tough for my 45 yr. old eyes when reading text. Inadequate ventilation design. And, the right speaker is 8 db louder than the left at 50% volume.

    Patiently waiting to see what the Y550 and Y450 have to offer. Though I probably will be going for the Y650.

    It also gives a sense of confidence to the consumer (quality).
