    Hi there,

I know very little about hardware and would like to get the the Y650. From what I've read I should update the graphics card but I have no idea what to upgrade it with. Can someone help? Also would like to up the RAM to 8 GB, any suggestions there as well? I will most likely be ordering from tiger direct. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Jim

I doubt the GPU is upgradeable. Unless you have a specific need, 8GB of memory has little marginal value. You might want to head on over to the WSIBN forum to consider the FAQ and post there. When you say something about what you want or need, it helps people figure out what's a good notebook for you.
