    Hi everyone,

Long time techie and this is an issue I have never seen. Brand new Lenovo y700 with about 10 hours of use shut off in the middle of renderings. Laptop would not boot after that. No lights on laptop indicating that the battery was charging. PSU tested and working.

Laptop was sent to Lenovo tech, tech says internal battery is bad.

I have never heard of a laptop not booting because the internal battery was defective if the psu was plugged in. As far as I know, the battery is not used when its plugged in no?
