On the week of August 22, the Y710 was in stock and supposed to be immediately available. I ordered and was given an estimated ship date of Aug 29.

On August 29 the estimated ship date was bumped up 2 weeks. Concerned I call in and a CSR tells me the machine was shipping on Sept 02.

Sept 02 rolls bye, and on Sept 04 I call in to "check the status of my order" and was told "I see here your estimated ship date is Sept 12." Not satisfied with that, I called Lenovo and pressed 2 to get a salesman. Asked him to plug in my order number and he tells me the order is presently in the PACKING STAGE.

*** is that's supposed mean? Today the order status is still IN PROCESS. It's nearing August 12 soon.

Well I have not heard the phrase packing stage but that might mean that the order was sent to the warehouse for the actual building. Their credit card verification has been taking a very long time recently. You might want to ask if your CC was verified (corporate PwC Amex :p?).

Didn't think PwC would use an internet forum to ask about laptop orders :D.
