Hi,
I was wondering if anyone here can help me out? 3 keys on my KB stopped working so I ordered a new keyboard online. I removed the screw from the back but removed the KB from the wrong side. Should've been from the right, I did it from the left. So this kinda ripped something. These two screws remained attached to the laptop. Here is a picture of the NEW keyboard to illustrate what stayed in:

And here is my laptop with the keyboard removed:

Here is what remained.

I'm not sure if it's a screw. It won't screw off. I tried pliers too (not sure why), and still didn't come off. I opened up the back, and saw 2 screws with keyboard imprints on them, they matched up to the two metal things left behind. It loosens, but doesn't come out. I still can't take the metal thing out while loosened. pic:

These metal things mean I can't install my new keyboard, as it already has those metal things attached.
I am able to reattach my old keyboard and it works fine like before, excluding those same 3 keys.
Any ideas what's up or what I can do? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!

I know this thread is old, but i wanted to thank the OP for posting those pics as it showed me where the screws attach to my wife's Z570 keyboard (she spilt a shake on it so i needed to take it apart to clean it).
Also, for the OP and anyone else, the metal is the screw posts that are a part of the keyboard. to remove the screws you would just need to hold on tightly to those posts (preferably with something like small vice grips) and turn the screw out. if the screw isn't backing out, you may need to pull down on the metal post as you turn the screw to make it back out (a sign that the threads are stripped). Hopefully the screws are still good. If not, get some new ones off eBay or something.
Thanks again OP! I couldn't find anything that was actually this exact model anywhere! All video's were of "similar" models that had none of the same screws.
