Just got a Z575 with an integrated 6520G & dedicated 6650M in crossfire. I upgraded to the newest catalyst 12.6 and it caused the entire machine to freeze up for 1-2mins at times so I reverted to the OEM drivers. Was wondering what drivers are compatible for this crossfire machine? Looking to get some better performance out of Skyrim.

The 12.6 beta drivers or official? I've never had issues with 12.6 beta, and now I am on 12.7 beta.

i think they were beta drivers, but nonetheless they weren't playing friendly with the crossfire setup. Anyone know a reason why?

I had problems when I used drivers from AMD website, but drivers from Lenovo support (same version) works fine... Before instaling new AMD drivers I had to uninstall old drivers. Instaling on top of old version didn't work fine for me.

    I have the Z575 with 6520G + 6650M.

The only drivers that work with my laptop are the drivers that shipped with the laptop.

    "8.901.3.5-111215a-130659C-Lenovo"

The drivers on the Lenovo site for the z575 do not work, they do not switch graphics processing to the discrete card. Also all of the AMD releases for both desktop and mobility from 12.1 to 12.8. They also do not switch graphics processing to the discrete card.

When using those drivers, if I switch an application to run on the discrete card, "High Performance" the system freezes indefinitely.

Unfortunately, since whatever driver was shipped with this laptop isn't available on the internet, I had to go back to a system restore point.

That is what happens to me when I installed new version on the top of old version.

Boot in safe mode, run Driver sweeper. Reboot. |MG| Driver Fusion (Driver Sweeper) 1.2.0 Download

    Run CCleaner. Reboot.
CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download

Install new drivers. That's works for me.
