I am not familiar with any of Lenovo's laptop models so which one would be comparable to the Dell Inspiron 1525? I'm looking for a laptop to replace an older Inspiron 1300 which no longer works which I used primarily for surfing the web, sending and receiving emails and some Quicken. I'm not into playing games nor am I into digital photography.

I was looking at some models on Lenovo's website but they have so many. If Lenovo makes an entry level laptop for basic computing use, web surfing, email, etc., something with a 14.1" lcd screen, anti-glare if available, which model should I take a look at? Can you still get XP on Lenovos or will it have to be Vista?

You can get an XP downgrade but you have to pay extra for it. There are several 14 inch models to choose from, it depends on what you want to spend.

I would say the T400 or R400, circuit city also sells a 14 inch Ideapad now but I'm not sure on the specs.

Thanks for the post. Another question, does Lenovo have good tech support or is it about like Dell's? Is it in India?
