So when I go to Lenovo's website, I have the option to track my order by logging in or by entering my order number & e-mail:

    When I log-in I get this information:

When I track without logging in I get this:

Ship dates differ by 10 days...
Which method did you guys use for tracking your orders and was it accurate or not?

Once it's shipped, they'll send you an email with a UPS tracking number (which may be invalid). At that point your laptop actually exists, and you can track your order with some confidence (if the number in the email is invalid, call Lenovo support for the right one).

Otherwise, in my experience, all other dates and estimates are produced by a random number generator, and can be ignored. Sales droids don't know any better; they will happily generate the same or some other dates for you, but these are just as random as any other.

its an estimated date. most of the time it seems like lenovo ships before the estimated date.
