On my old T61p and docking station, the monitor flickers.
I thought it was the monitor's problem until I see the problem again with my X201 + ultrabase/dock. Both docks used VGA. If I do a "auto image adjust" on the monitor, a Viewsonic LCD, then the flickering stops temporarily.
I'm ordering a replacement ultradock but since I've gotten the flicker on 2/2 docks, I'm wondering if this is a common problem?

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
I've been using my T400 on the old T60/T61 dock (basically all the time) for more than half a year, and I haven't seen any flickering. One of my monitors (both Samsung 204b) is on VGA and the other is on a USB/VGA adapter.

On my X201i, docked on the ultrabase, my Sony HDTV and LG monitor never flickered when hooked up via Displayport/HDMI or VGA. Similarly for my X60 tablet via VGA and X6 dock.

if you are getting flickers on two laptops with two different dock, then it is probably a problem with the LCD itself.

I dont' get the flicker if I plug it directly into the laptop though.
Hopefully the replacement is good. -
hum, are you using 3 proned power adapters with earth or the two proned power adapters?

"On my old T161p and docking station, the monitor flickers."
It's a hardware problem because mine has always worked.

I don't think my ultrabase shipped with its own power adapter.
