    Howdy folks.

Is there a way to install Lenovo drivers/software on a non Lenovo device?

I'm attempting to use the the Qualcomm driver package on my Sony and the installer fails out with the following error:

    Any help would be appreciated.

I believe so, you need to modify inf file to add device hardware id's.

you can find the id's in DeviceManager->Device->Details->Hardware ID's, one of these ID's will be in the inf file, replace that with the id from sony laptop.

    not guaranteed to work.

If the installer is a single executable and doesn't have inf file, then you probably need to do bit of hacking... clean your temp folders, start installer, don't click next, go back to temp you should see a folder, copy that whole folder somewhere else, click cancel on installer... oh nevermind might be more than what you are prepared to do..
