This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I'm about to install Win7 from scratch on a Thinkpad. I'm going to be faced with decisions about which Lenovo drivers/sw to install, and in some cases there will probably be Windows 7 "in the box" drivers/sw that is similar or equivalent.

    Are there any cases, besides where the OS has no equivalent sw, where I should definitely install the Lenovo sw?
