    I just bought a lenovo notebook from china
    I can't determine which model it is
    It only says XURI C461L

    I have re-installed WINXP SP2 but can't manage to get the drivers for VGA and sound

    Which GPU does it have. You may need the KB888111 hotfix from Microsoft to fix the sound issue.

    I believe that model is not available in the US.
    In China, other than the T, X and R series, Lenovo has another line called "Rising Sun" (旭日 in Chinese) and I think that's the one you have. The Rising Sun line has a distinctive orange 'NOVO' button on the top right corner of the keyboard.. is yours like that?
