I'm customizing a T60 on the Lenovo website, and for some reason the price they give me is $50 higher than the price I've added up with the options...
    I've added:
    14" SXGA+ ($50)
    ATI X1400 ($100)
100 gig HDD ($20 right now due to the sale)
    1 gig ram ($90)

According to my calculations, that should add up to $1394, but Lenovo is quoting me $1444...
Anyone have any idea what's goin on?

No... I don't think you have to pay for shipping, do you? I think it's free but I could be wrong. Please correct me if I am.

They have always had tax in basically every state.

When I was adding a outlet notebook to my order, a few accessories were automatically added to the customization, which I didn't notice at first. Go all the way to the cart, and see if you notice anything odd that you didn't add like a backpack or some other addon.

Ah, I've figured it out... When they added the free DVD burner upgrade they seem to have screwed up the free 9 cell battery offer... If I put it to 6 cell it goes to the correct price... Gotta call and clarify on that.

What did you find out? I did a work up on a T60 the other day with the 9 cell and it was $50 less than the one I did yesterday! Luckily I saved the first one as a quote. I think they raised the base price by $50. I think they will have to abide by the quote (it's good until 11/22) if I convert it for a purchase.

YES! I just recalulated mine today and the $50 was gone! I ordered mine FINALLY! He assured me no longer than 8-10 business days AFTER he checked the stock on parts...he said many times they will come sooner, but he would not make any promises, so we shall see if I have a good or bad Lenovo experience. I also asked about the bios updates I read about (BT and wireless connections not staying connected, and fuzzy 14" screen) and he said they should all be taken care of in this new machine??? Keep your fingers crossed.

Hope their shipping trends change, cause it is usually 3-4 weeks for "custom" systems which almost all are.

You should have waited one day, and been eligible for the free Vista upgrade :p

I have read about VISTA upgrades but have seen no "cut-off" dates so far...hopefully the will "fudge" a little. I would probably wait a while anyway until they get more of the "bugs" worked out...at least I can tell myself that so I can sleep tonight. :)

There is an article up on the main page here talking about it. Lenovo's official upgrade plan starts the 26th.
