    Lenovo g580 laptop oversensitive touchpad.

    Just got Lenovo G580 laptop and and impressed with it, BUT touchpad seems over sensitive and selects what it wants to,. so taking me to places I have not selected by pressing left mouse key.I cannot find a mouse setting to solve this so ANY FORUM MEMBERS OUT THERE EXPERIENCED THIS AND SOLVED THE PROBLEM?( Mouse otherwise responds smoothly and accurately)

    You'll want to increase the Palm Check and Touch Sensitivity sliders toward the higher end of the range (towards the right). Unfortunately, the Synaptics ClickPad is one of the worst touchpads I've encountered on a laptop over decades of laptop use. It's simply unreliable and you'll encounter issues.

    Typically, if the Palm Check slider is anything but at the minimum, you may notice that there is a delay between moving the mouse and the keyboard accepting a typed character input. Nothing you can do about this mess...except another laptop/brand/model.

    Thanks for letting me know,will check those settings and feedback results.It seems to be an inherent weak link on this model noticed a similar posting from magikan last november.
