For those who have access to Lenovo's EPP site, you can now customize your laptop. For example, they let you choose the preinstalled OS. The old EPP site used to only allow prebuilt models for purchase. Prices also seem to be lower, especially for the X series.

Is it just me, or is Lenovo looking to clear their old inventory for a new lineup of laptops. They've been have a lot of sales lately on their site.

Too bad they don't have a widescreen X series, otherwise I'd probably would have bought that instead of my Macbook.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. As with most mfrs, Lenovo will be refreshing its product line in Many with Intel's new platform so it could be an indirect reason for some sales.
