    Lenovo having trouble with tracking numbers?

    I saw this in Dec 2007, but decided not to resurrect an old thread.

    My tracking number with an X series laptop is incorrect, and no one at Lenovo has a clue where my computer is.

    Anyone else having this issue (it appears in Dec 2007, a lot of people did)...

    well I ordered a T410s on April 20 and it's suppose to arrive this Friday, but when I check the shipping status today it's still in bill status since May 5th, and lenovo can't seem to give me the answer why my laptop still sitting on the deck in china or wherever....

    Unfortunately I am in the same situation (also with a t410s). I got a shipment notification on 7 May 2010, but the tracking number still does not show up in UPS as anything other than "Billing info received".

    I called Lenovo to see what was going on, and they said to call back in 2 business days to start a formal claim process. I don't know why they would send out a ship notification email and a tracking number only to not hand the package over to UPS? As I need to leave work in sufficient time to pick the package up at the UPS office, I would like to know when to expect the computer arriving, if it has even left China yet at all.

    just call up the customer service they can give you a better detail. My laptops got delivered to my house, with the bill status still showing.

    Ugh, more shipping craziness from Lenovo. :( I thought they got it all sorted out by now. :\

    I called Lenovo customer service and they just said that if it didn't show up in 2 more business days to give them another call. I realize there is probably little that they can do, but it still seems a little odd for a package to just be in this area "in-between" being tracked and not.

    they always said that to me when I called (been calling them since Monday)...

    In my case, they say it IS shipped - just the stupid tracking number is almost nonsense. And then they say - oh - we'll check it out and get back to you NEXT WEEK.

    Well, take heart guys. I checked back with UPS this morning and my package is in the US and out for delivery. The website has now updated. It's weird that the package effectively disappeared for a week, but now that the computer is here, I suppose that's just the difficulty of shipping internationally en masse.

    So, if your tracking number is showing nothing for you, your package may not be lost. It's probably on its way, but just not being updated properly on the UPS site.

    I never did receive a tracking number for my T410 through email or online. Got an email my item was shipped after 3 business days and received the computer 10 days later. Online status changed from submitted, processing, shipped then invoiced. My friend who ordered the laptop same days as me called Lenovo which happened to have the tracking #. Too bad it was delivered that day as well. Not sure why no tracking sent to us as the delivery method does include it.

    I noticed recently that UPS has not been showing full tracking updates for other packages that I've shipped so it's not just a Lenovo thing. The packages still got delivered on time.

    umm...I have also shipped/received some items via UPS this past few weeks and the tracking #s show in details....so I don't know what's up with lenovo tracking # b/c my laptop was supposed to arrive on Wednesday (lenovo said shipped on 5/5/10)

    I never got a tracking number either...Not until they left a notice on the 2nd delivery attempt.

    UPS sucks big time. Unreliable and their business/service is completely broken.

    I put in a request to hold my package at the depot and got confirmation by 2 reps. The funny thing is they tried 3 times to ship it to my place. I went in the evening on the 4th day and they still had to go to the truck area and search for my box (i.e. pickup items are normally stored in the customer front desk).

    I just hope my X didnt' sustain any damage from the constant shuffling on the truck or in the hands of the damn driver.

    so I finally got the answer from lenovo and they said UPS received the billing on may 5th, but didn't pick up my package! What is up with UPS
