Have you got a spare monitor in which you can connect it up to? If it posts on that then the notebook screen may have either got a loose connection or gone bad (check inverter first then the screen), if it still doesn't show anything even with the monitor then most likely the GPU may have failed. By the way which Lenovo model is this?

So the machine in question is a Lenovo N200:
    Code:
    Lenovo N200 (0769-BHG)
    Celeron M 530(1.73GHz), 512MB RAM, 120GB 5400rpm HD, 15.4in 1280x800 LCD,
    Intel X3100, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11abg wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 10/100
Ethernet, Touchpad, Fingerprint reader, Camera, 6c Li-Ion, WinVista Home Basic
Connect your Lenovo N200 to an external monitor and power it on. Press Fn-F7 to switch display output between internal LCD and external monitor. Does this do anything?

Also check if the HDD indicator LED shows any signs of disk activity by flashing on any disk access during boot. If there is no activity, the machine most likely doesn't even boot anymore.

Are there any beep signals? If yes, could you please count them and report their exact sequence, including any pause?

If you still don't get any visual output on both the internal and an external display, and also no LED indication for disk activity, than most possibly the mainboard needs to be replaced.

Please check your machine's warranty status at support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-service/warranty-status/default.page? using it's TYPE and serialnumber. If it still has warranty, contact Lenovo for having the machine repaired.
