I ordered a Lenovo flex 2 14 on October 18th when it said it will ship the laptop in 1 - 3 days. My shipping date has been delayed about 5 times now and few minutes ago I received an email that said the laptop will be shipped within 30 days. This is ridiculous.

Two weeks before I ordered the flex I ordered a u430 with 1-3 day shipping time frame. Turns out it will ship in December due to a shortage. Lenovo shipping time-frames are absolutely misleading. I can understand a one week delay. But 2 months? The website still says that it will be shipped within 1-3 days for that model.

You should be able to call them and cancel the order. Shipping dates from OEMs are never 100% anyway, but a few days to a few months is pretty drastic.

If you talk to them and if they don't accept your cancellation, keep trying with other reps. If all else fails, you could consider a chargeback if you paid via CC.

If you are open to other laptops, call in and cancel. If you don't necessarily need the laptop immediately, call in and negotiate a discount. I was able to get a 7% discount for my T440s, which was delayed an additional week on top of the promised availability time.

When you call their customer service they will probably just keep hanging up on you until you stop calling.

Hard to ignore a chargeback, though ;)

Personally I'm not too impressed with Lenovo's non-Thinkpad lines either. No better or worse than other consumer-class laptops. Can't say the same about their Thinkpads though...
