Recently I often got "Our apologies The page you requested is not available" when trying to go to the Lenovo notebook page. Anyone has the same problem?

Same ol' same ol'. They've been working on their shipping date bug for a few months now. That's why I'm finished with Lenovo.

so is the estimated shipping date of 9/4 on the site now just a bug?

How do you create a quote? The only way I know of is actually emailing the cart to myself? Is their an official way?

after you create a dozen or so quotes without actually buying anything, perhaps they block your IP, lol

Well, I'd rather save $100 now than nothing.

I can checkout fine on the normal Lenovo site, just not the EPP site.

    Same here.

My rep said he would email me in the evening but of course he lied. So now, if I can't create a quote, I won't get my pricematch.

    Coupon expires on the 22nd.

I just tried the regular Lenovo site (not the SPP), and it worked. So maybe Lenovo did it deliberately to block illegitimate use of the SPP code? But how can they know if I'm a shareholder or not?

I think they just suck, and can't get it to work. There's no other way to explain why the rep couldn't get EPP to work with neither my info nor his info.

EPP worked for me when i created a new account (instead of signing into an existing one or using a guest account: those didn't work for me either). Maybe SPP has the same problem.

The 10% coupon always worked as long as i didn't typo (no space after it if you copy/paste).

    Good luck

I created about three or four quotes earlier this evening on EPP. Maybe you need to wipe out your cookies or try a different computer.

Around what time? Did you go through guest checkout, your account, or a new account?

I just did it through a new account, but I'm not sure if the different customer # will be a problem.

Yeah, that's a problem sometimes. I had to create a new login account about a week ago when one evening my account just seemed to quit working. So I've been using the new one ever since.

Just create another new account. As long as it has your name on it. I don't see the problem.

I think I found the solution to the problem. When you try to log in from the home page, the system will not all you to do it.

BUT if you customize a notebook and proceed to checkout, a log in page will show up because you need to log in before you can checkout. You could log in then and the system will allow you to log in.

OMG...I don't know if you're talking about the same thing Flight, but I just tried logging in first and the configuring the machine - and it worked. I feel kind of retarded now, but still think Lenovo should get this worked out.

Oh yeah, and for some odd reason, my customer number from the quote is different than the customer number I got in my email after ordering it a week ago.

I just woke up this morning and realized that yesterday, I used my old account to create a quote - not the account I ordered the laptop with. It still won't let me log on to my real account on the EPP website, but oddly enough, works on the normal site.

I'm pretty sure that's the way it works. You have to create separate/different accounts for regular site and EPP site.

My problem was with SPP site, not EPP, but maybe the reason is the same: I think when I used the SPP site to place an order, I can't log in to my regular account, thus must open a new account from that site, so I got through checkout that way. HOWEVER now I have a worry: in future if the SPP code changes to a different one unknown to me, I will not be able to log in to my SPP account (the one with which I'll have purchased my T61). That will be big trouble time, won't it? Anyone can tell me anything about this? If that's the case then I may be better off using the regular site to order w/o discount.

When you place an order you will get a confirmation e-mail. That e-mail will contain a link that will take you directly to your order status without having to sign in anywhere.

I have that e-mail saved. Anytime I want to check up on my order I pull up that e-mail and click on the link provided. You will not have to sign into you SPP account again unless you want to make another purchase or quote.

That sounds comforting stallen. I hope the info linked there will be all that I'll ever need. The account is for purchase, not for maintaining, right? What if I need to change email address and other info that Lenovo uses to communicate with me? etc...

Oh by the way I just checked that link. Yes you can see the order info, however when you click on "My account", then "Modify account info", you are directed to Login!

They have all that information. If you want to change e-mail or something just call them up. Otherwise the things that you might need after you get your laptop might be new drivers or various software updates. These are all things that do not require signing on. Just go to lenovo.com and click on the "support and downloads" tab... anyone can download whatever they want (even if you don't own a Lenovo product).

Maybe someone will correct me, but I can't come up with any reason why you will ever need to log into that account again (except like I already said - to make another purchase or quote).
