The holiday deals they have right now are very good, you can get an R60 for $604 and T60 for $894.

I don't have access to EPP prices, but now EPP prices are available to Education users, and they don't look that impressive.

The $604 R60 is a Celeron configuration. The T60's are better deals IMHO.

Is the deal on the t60p also good? and why would you buy an t60p over an t60?

And which warranty would you recommend? (I'm planning on taking the laptop with me overseas where I'll be living)

(what is needed of the warranty service upgrades/extended service contracts/protection services) ?

A t60p is generally the performance variant of the t60, bigger screen (flexview option), more powerfull graphics, at the expense of more weight, bigger size and less battery life, but all in relatively small quantities.

The t60 is a good all around balanced notebook featuring great power, big screen, low weight and good battery life.

The x60 is more leightweight and more suitable if you're going to be mobile with your laptop alot and need it to be as light as possible and have the best battery life. Its also the smallest of the thinkpads.

Generally thinkpads come with 3 year warranty, but you should check. Most people are satisfied with the service

Except the screen and flexview portions of that are not accurate in this instance.

I don't see those holiday deals on the Lenovo Canada website. Is it for the Thanksgiving Holiday or Christmas?

this is amazing, the t60's are selling for 200-300 less than it was a week ago.

I definitely think they are ready to introduce something big, thats why their getting rid of all their current stock....

do you think the sale will apply for the 14.1 widescreen? I pray that the new 14 widescreens come with flexview....

Guess how much the cost of the notebooks are reduced on the Lenovo Canada website during this holiday season...a whopping $0...
