I am looking to buy laptop but what should i choose Lenovo 3000 N100 or Thinkpad Z61(comming soon)   :

I like the Thinkpad but its cons are
    1:no inbuild mic
    2: No DVD writer
    3 : 3 X USB
    4 : 3 in 1 card reader

    Thinkpad Pros
    1: build quality
    2:spill free keyboard
    3: brand Thinkpad

Does anybody know is there difference between the models .

I will use my laptop for business, normal computing, light games but quality with feature is must .

    Help

    Thankyou
    Rohan

The new T60 Thinkpads are made by lenovo as well. I just got one recently and I'm very happy with it.

    Check this deal out:

    http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202314415&loc=101&sp=1

That's probably the best thinkpad deal out there right now, it was under $1500 last week, but it's so popular the sales rank of that thinkpad jumped from 3000 all the way to 1362. Just buy another stick of 512 DDR2 and you're done.

The same model is also available for $1440 at costcentral.com. Never bought from them, can't vouch for them, but it's a killer price.

CostCentral has good ratings on Pricegrabber. As with most internet retailers there are likely no returnsonly an exchange if defective. The N100 is a solid machine, but won't offer the protection of a ThinkPad. If you are not moving it much I don't think that is as big of an issue. The N100 has a nice glossy screen something you won't find on a ThinkPad.
