    Lenovo order problem

    has anything like this happened to anyone of you at the forum? I ordered a T61p from lenovo website on 27 March. and then the money was taken from my bank account the next day by (someone from) lenovo as the bank worker told me when i went to the bank to check my money. and my order still hasn't been shipped yet, it's always "In Process" whenever i check the order status. Since this is my first to order a laptop from the lenovo website, i didn't know too much about it. but I called them yesterday, and they told me that they never took the money from my bank account, only until when the laptop is actually shipped. So they denied that they took the money from my bank account. but the bank worker told me that lenovo took a big chunk of money from my bank account. So now I'm kinda nervous and suspicious now. Somebody from lenovo took my money?

    anyone knows anything like this before?

    When I ordered they took the cost for warranty option I chose a couple days later, they shouldn't bill you for the cost of the laptop until it ships. I don't think anybody would rip you off from Lenovo, he/she would have to be very unintelligent person, all Visa transactions are recorded so don't worry.

    My thought exactly. I would find out exactly how much a "large chunk" of money is from your bank, and compare it to the cost of the additional warranty you ordered (if you ordered any at all). Also, I believe accessories are debited almost immediately as they are usually shipped right away if they are in stock. Like I said though, find out the amount and go from there. Good luck!

    Are you sure they didn't just "authorize" the funds? When you order anything online they always reserve the funds immediately, which means those funds are no longer available to you, however it's not technically a charge. The actual charge happens when the item ships.

    i check the money. and they told me that they just put the money aside.and now they put the money back into my account.so it's ok now. Thank all of you guys again! btw, i was told that my order is gonna shipped within this week(it's a T61p that i ordered it on March 27) hopefully i can't get it.

    Same thing happend to me. I got worried too. I called bank too. Not a bad idea to see what was going on.

    This just happened to me too, with an order for a T61. I sent queries to both Lenovo and the bank but it's good to know this is not an issue, I need the computer as soon as I can get it!
