I'm recently looking for a x200 on lenovo outlet. I found that 9 cell battery only runs for 6 hours while 6 cell runs for 6.5 hours. It doesn't make sense. Anyone know whats that mean?

It has to be a typo (the Lenovo outlet is notorious for them).

The 6 cell battery is 56WHr, while the 9 cell is 84WHR (the 4 cell is 28WHr). As a result, the 9 cell should last 50% longer than the 6 cell and 3 times longer than the 4 cell.

The published battery life in the X200 tech specs (LINK) is:

    4-cell: up to 3.3hrs
    6-cell: up to 6.5hrs
    9-cell: up to 9.8hrs

I know those are the official values but I think those will vary.

Lenovo covered their butt by putting the words "up to" before any specific claims. For the sake of comparing the batteries to one another, they're useful. But expecting the batteries to last that long will result in disappointment. ;)
