Since I am based in Sydney, I check Lenovo AU prices and special offers from time to time. What really strikes me as how they try to trick people and manipulate with online prices.

First, they have usual prices and web discounts, like everywhere. A decent W530 config is about $2,700 online. Then they introduce " Big Chill Deals" (a quote from their newsletter :D) offering 30% discount - every two-three weeks or so. Sounds nice, but before they increase prices about 2 times and the final price for the same W530 after 30% off is about $2,900!

It looks as these people fail to understand that there is such a thing as the Internet and people can not only check prices around, but also buy the same stuff for half-price elsewhere.
