i placed an order for a laptop. payed from paypal. ok minutes later i receive an email saying my order was cancelled. No idea why. but it also stated i will get a refund.
few hours later i get an email from paypal for a part refund of £7.50 of £556 i payed. i also got a note of stating CPGREFUND with some numbers i do not recognise. why didnt they just refund me the whole amount?

I was clearly emailed my order was cancelled.

Anyone got any ideas or had same experience?

Just a guess but Paypal probably kept their fee? I haven't used them since they cut off Wikileaks, lots of other options out there.

Wait a business day or two, if the rest doesn't show up, call Lenovo. They are a highly reputable business, I doubt they'd try to 'pull a fast one' intentionally, so even if they did make a mistake, you will get your money back.

hmmm. ok. i had to go to my bank account and cancel all paypal payments and withdraw my funds to another accont just incase as i read that the company on behalf of lenovo are scammers espcially as i saw that £7.50 which i was not impressed about. i do however want to order from them tho. but i aint handing them fees twice till i get my money back.

Why not ask Paypal? There the ones who are most likely to have the answers you seek.

yea i thought to ring up paypal but they dont have the answers to why lenovo/digital river cancelled my order upon receipt of payment or why they only part refunded the money. i immediately opened a case. it is not escalated. i cnt till next week. but the funds may be out my account by then which i hope not. i haave to ring up the bank to see if they can block that fee.
but i certainluy want answers to why they cancelled me.
