My thinkpad starts up and logs in but as soon as I log in it gives me the dreaded blue screen it won't let me start it up in safe mode either an it doesnt have rescue and recovery on it. It says some hardware wasn't installed right but i didnt install any hardware.

    What should I do?

Did this happen randomly, or did you install/update/download anything? See if you can get a Linux LiveCD (ie, Ubuntu) and get the system booted, then back up all your data.
