I was wondering if I ordered a laptop from Lenovo and was in the process of shipping, could I return it still sealed for a full refund once I receive it?

    Thanks!

Yes. Why wouldn't you be able to?

Like ickysmits link says, you can return it, but they may charge you a 15% restocking fee if you reason for the return is not Lenovo's error.

Lenovo has one of the worse return policies I've ever seen.

That's when you open it, you can return it sealed and get a full refund.

Well, I haven't returned my thinkpads before, but I think some people have reported being charged because it's a CTO system.

Yes, I guess if it is CTO there is a 15% restocking. I know of 3 cases (all personal friends) who ordered a CTO machine and for various reasons returned the order unopened and got charged the 15% restocking.

I don't know anyone who did not do a CTO order so I wouldn't know about whether those are charged a restocking.

But, Lenovo's return policy doesn't mention anything about CTO or not.

I was able to return a unopened cto without a restocking fee, however they insisted on a replacement order at the same time they issued the return authorization. I thought it was pretty fair as they picked up shipping too.

Did Lenovo make a mistake on your order or did you just decided you didn't want it?

kind of both, I had called the day before it shipped and asked if I could add the bluetooth. Levovo said sure but it may delay the shipment a few days. I said no prob, please add it. Then when I realized it had shipped, first I was just going to keep it but then decided to use the opportunity to make some other changes. It turned out the only thing they really needed was another order to allow the return fee waived. Overall, it worked out kind of nice for me. but it was touch and go there for a moment or two. Good luck getting yours taken care of.
