I need to complain about Lenovo practice and support here. I bougth the X1 Yoga with Microsoft Office 2016. When I unpacked the MS Office 2016 activation card and entered the activation key, I could read that the activation code I used was already used , with an email address I did not know (st*****@hotmail.com).

I heard that Microsoft servers have been hacked and that they were stolen activavtion keys numbers, as same thing happened to a colleague.

After having lost some time trying to talk to Microsoft and Lenovo technical support who I found out could do nothing, I was given the Lenovo Customer Support number. I called, I was told that I just have to give my activation key number and that I would receive a code by the day after at the latest.

I did not receive it the day after, I called back and they say I must now send screen shots of the error message, of the key and the X1 serial number...

Now I did it and they say I must wait 4 to 5 days !

A colleague of mine had the same issue with an Office licence sent with a Dell computer, he received a new activation code by Dell on the same day !

DO NOT BUY OFFICE WITH LENOVO !

    Thierry

Edit : Hopefully the delay was reduced to one day after some more recrimination on my side. I say sorry to all the customer support representatives who I talked to with anger, they suffer the CS policy even more than I do

Edit 2 : Lenovo gave me a 127 € refound, without me asking. Not bad

Other than the office problems, how are you finding your new X1 Yoga?

Nice! Only drawback for now is you can't have it with a 1 To SSD.

Not to take you further off topic, but since you are one of the few people with the x1 yoga on the boards I thought I'd ask here - How is the screen? Is it clear? Some of the previous models suffered from blurriness due to the anti-glare scree coating, but from the youtube videos I've seen it looks much better in this generation.

Thinking about exchanging my dell XPS 15 for the X1 yoga due to the incredibly short key travel :(
