FYI -- I called customer support today to see where my order stands, the rep told me they have a 15 day delay for the WSXGA+ screens and 40 days for the WUXGAs. Double check the shipment date when placing an order.

Well then. Mine shipped out four days ago with a Samsung screen. I hope they didn't scrape the bottom of the barrel with that one. I would have waited for an LG screen no problem.

What's the difference between the Samsung and the LG? Where do you see which brand you got?

Yep, I was rather surprised given the users who posted shipment of their notebook within just a few days.

The 14" T61p SXGA+ models were shipping very fast. The rest... not so much.

Yeah they were. Mine shipped in three days... with a Samsung screen. Seems like they ran out of the LG batch and had some Samsungs laying around with which they managed to fill a few orders. I just hope it isn't a bad screen.

Yeah, probably some Lenovo foreman somewhere spotted a load of Samsungs gathering dust on top of a battered old crate at the back of a loading dock, two metres from the reject pile, hidden from sight almost under a moldy rapidly disintegrating rain tarp and said, whooaaaaaa dude, these'll do fine, lets slap 'em on and ship 'em out so the plebs'll stop buggin us 'bout when their systems are gonna ship.

Actually if it was an old crate it would probably be a good screen. It seems like only recently has LCD quality gone to hell.

Can anyone else confirm that the t61p WSXGA+ are delayed as well?

Would i be better off reordering tonight, amidst the latest sale and save 300$, even though my ESD for a WUXGA is 9/25 (as a lot of other's are)? Have not personally called to check up on my order yet as i ordered later then most, but just really want a t61p asap now, regardless of resolution.

I can confirm. I ordered a T61p on 9/7, ESD 9/27. Called yesterday and they said because of delays it might ship as late as the first week of October.

the wsxga+ are not delayed, if you call and ask about the order reps will say they are delayed, but just look at recent ship rates.

I't only shipped hasn't arrived yet. Other thing is i was also provided with a tracking number, so i really think lenovo is stepping things up since a lot of people said they didn't get one.

Hmm... really thinking about canceling my WUXGA now since the shipping times for the WSXGA+ seem a lot quicker, i'd be saving money in the process as well. Only thing is there's a rumor circulating that all orders after 9/4 for WSXGA+ have been Samsung screens.. well i guess either way i'd be taking a gamble.

    What do you guys suggest?
