    I was thinking about getting one and are they do out with a newer model anytime soon? something that will easily outdo the 14" w/ the 8600gt or quadro wateva you wanna call it?

    Just a new chip update from what i understand...no new rumors of any new machine have been floating around.

    I doubt anything will easily out do the current gpu offered...a 256 mb card in a 14" model is unheard of.

    The t61p has only been out for a little over half a year...so again...probably nothing new for a little while.

    Always buy what suits your needs now...never future proof...you'll waste money. It's a great machine though...i love mine.

    I would guess not until the time frame where Montevina is released. You probably won't get much better than an 8600M GT, it would be difficult to cool a GPU better than that.

    I'd suggest buying a notebook when you need one.
