"Lenovo's new UMPC models, called S9 and S10 with 9-inch and 10-inch screens, are expected to sell from 2,999 yuan (US$435) to 3,999 yuan. Unlike ASUS' first-generation EeePC with small-capacity solid state hard disks, Lenovo's UMPCs feature a hard disk with a 120 gigabyte capacity and Windows XP as an operating system, according to Lenovo, now the world's No. 4 personal computer maker."

If only it is black, has TrackPoint and blue "enter" key, I will buy it at once!
    Will it be called "ThinkPadlet"?

so would 9 or 10 inches fit a standard Word document without having to scroll left and right? (I remember i had an ANCIENT thinkpad which came with a small screen back in the old days when they were having trouble with the bigger screens- it was supposed to ship with a bigger screen - and had some problems with that.

Fitting a word document is based on resolution and not screen size although smaller screens tend to have lower resolution. Sony TZ is one exception though.

I'd venture that most mini laptops have 1024 width screens minimum now so that shouldn't have any problems fitting a word document. Then again you know you can scale the document display size to fit the screen right?
