    Hey all,
I am trying to decide on a laptop for school (mechanical engineering). I think i've got it down to a few choices: Dell XPS, HP HDX16t or dv5t, or Lenovo Enhanced W500 or T500. I am sort of leaning toward the W500 with this set up:
    C2D T9400
    4GB DDR3
    320GB at 5400rpm
    15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050)
    Intel Turbo Mem 2GB

I could get that for about $1,800 without a warrenty. Do you think that is a good option? Would the T500 be more practical? I am also thinking about the HDX16t with a similar setup, but with the DDR2 and a C2D P8600. I don't know. I didn't think it would be so hard buying a laptop, so now I need all the advise i can get. Whatever you guys could suggest would be awesome.
    thanks
    Josh
