    Hello All,

I have just purchased a new W520 (actually, my 2nd W520) from B&H, a pre-built laptop which comes with 3-year warranty. The Lenovo warranty check shows its expiration date as 2015-05-03, while I have received it only today. Is there something I can do to get it extended until Aug 2015, i.e. for three years?

Does someone know how the warranty timing works for products purchased via Lenovo dealers?

    Thanks!

If the warranty was purchased from a Lenovo authorized seller you can probably get them to adjust the warranty to the invoice date of the purchase. It might not be a bad idea if there's a few months of missing coverage there. There's no need to rush the upgrade. You can upgrade any time the machine is under warranty, but you can only upgrade to accidental in the first 90 days. If that's the case, you'd better get on the ball. The other thing to know is you can only upgrade the warranty once. You can't go from one year to three and then again to five.

Thank you. I had contacted B&H and they promised to adjust the coverage.
