I just ordered a x120e and hope to recieve it at the end of this month (I live in the Netherlands and a relative will bring it back with him from the U.S.)
I want to put in a SSD and reinstall Windows 7 right away. Most people suggest to download Windows 7, install it from USB and activate it using the key that should come with the notebook. (Still trying to figure out if the x120e has a 6Gbps SATA interface and which SATA controller to install)
On the Lenovo website however it is stated that the Lenovo x120e is equiped with 'Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0'
'A Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 PC features a fast start-up and shutdown process whilst still initializing critical security features like anti-virus software. Utilizing Lenovo RapidBoot technology, Enhanced Experience 2.0 PCs have optimized system files, processes and hardware settings to achieve quicker boot and shutdown times compared with non-optimized PCs'
Will I lose the Lenovo Enhanced Experience 2.0 by installing a default Windows 7 version? If so, is there any way to get an exact copy of the installed Windows 7 software onto the SSD while still performing a fresh install?
Could I create a recovery DVD and use that to reinstall on the SSD? (I'm assuming that the x120e comes with no DVD and an activation key on the bottom of the notebook)
Any suggestions would be much appriciated as this will be my first experience with SSD and Windows 7.

Yea, create recovery disks. Enhanced Experience 2.0 is supposed to be way faster than any other Win 7 image out there. In my experience, using the same drivers, for whatever reason the factory image also uses less power than a non-oem Win 7 install.

Use disk clone?
My ssd comes with a disk clone program, was so easy to do it. -
