So I have the laptop for four days now and after some testing.

    1. The left speaker grill if loose. It is not as solid as the right one. When I put a little pressure on the left speaker grill.(In the leftmost side) I could feel it loose. Is this normal?

    2. It would heat up when I play games like rift and the witcher 2. The max temperature I got on the GPU was 93 degrees celcius which doesn't seem to be normal. CPu were in he 90 degree range as well. I monitor the temperature using HW.

    3. When ever I close the laptop lid, I would hear a slight creaking sound. Nothing when I open the lid though. Again, I wonder if this is normal or not.

    4. I had two crash/freeze while running the pcsx2 emulator. The system froze completely and I couldn't access task manage or anything. I had to hold the power button and gave it a hard restart.

So basically I have 21 days to try it out the moment I receive my computer right? So I was wondering if it is worth it to ask for a replacement since I am having some issues.

Replacement is just a refurbish model so there is no telling if I get problems with it also right? How good is Lenovo warranty? Are they competent?

If it passes their quality assurance check they will probably just send back the same laptop without doing anything but wiping off the dust and fingerprints from it. The refurbished model may be in worse condition with scratches, so there is that to consider. Everything you mentioned seems pretty normal, I mean Windows is pretty unstable, the laptop is made of just plastic so creaking is fine, and the temps are normal and could only be improved with a repaste (which would void your 1-year warrenty) or using a cooling pad.

If you can't handle that stuff I guess the best thing would be to just return it and get a Macbook or something because they have higher build quality. I mean Lenovo is great and all but the build quality of the IdeaPad yX10p series does leave a little to be desired.

You could get a T440p. Bit pricey though.
