My display's bottom area where the lcd inverter is located is getting warm/hot. Is this normal. Please advice.

From what i understand by going through the forums of other vendors .... The LCD inverter (converting a double digit dc voltage to a 4 digit AC for the lcd backlight ) gets warm while working. .. My lenovo y510 LCD is getting warm / hmmm kinda hot specifically the backside of the area were lenovo is written.

Temp is more kinda hot if its full brightness and kinda warm when display brightness at 30%.

Is it fine? Any fellow Lenovo y510 users feel that area and shed some light into this issue?

Lenovo y530 users cannot help on this as they have led monitor and they dont have an inverter!.

Actually this is a new display that lenovo replaced for hinge failure...

Is it normal for inverter to get warm / hot? or happens only to those are on road to failure....

More hot at full brightness.... & kinda warm at 30 % brightness. I think fellow lenovo y510 users can help me...

It's not unusual for a CCFL display (especially a relatively thin assembly) to get warm when in use, especially at high brightness. As long as there are no adverse symptoms, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
