    Hello guys and gals,

I just recently purchased a Lenovo y510p. I'm totally in love with this laptop - but I have a major issue. When I run Skyrim and AC3 with SLI I get major screen issues. On Skyrim it looks fine if I stand still, when I move around it flickers like crazy (sometimes full screen, sometimes only part of the screen). On AC3 it constantly flashes like a strobe light as soon as I get into the game.

I have tried looking for solutions. My Nvidia driver is the latest version. I am trying to determine if this is a hardware or a software issue so that I can make a decision on if I need to send it back to newegg. That being said, I also have noticed that the Lenovo y510ps are discontinued on newegg. Does anyone know why this is?

I truly appreciate any help given. If I need to provide any additional information please let me know.

P.S. I have WOW and Final Fantasy XIV installed as well. Neither give me any issues at any time and both are utilizing SLI. Very confusing.

    Thanks!

Oh, likewise, when I run AC3 without SLI enabled it looks great. Just can't run it in 1920x1080 at max settings (which I imagine I should be able to do if it's in SLI).

Just to make sure I do that correctly, do you mind telling me how? I just downloaded the drivers you put up.

Go to control panel. Uninstall the current ones then proceed by installing the new ones.

Jobine, that seems to have worked! No more flickering. Am I to NEVER update my drivers, then? That seems so counter intuitive? Or just hold onto these that you so lovingly linked to me and revert back anytime a new set of drivers causes issues?

I am super appreciative of your help! Very thankful to not have to send back my precious lappy.

The idea is to try different drivers. For example, when a new driver comes out, test it, check for stutter, if there is stutter then just go back to stock. Thats what i do with my desktop's Gigabyte GTX 560, as if i use any driver that's newer than 320 it causes massive freezing and stability issues.

If you play the latest games you need the latest drivers, it's that simple. The real solution for this problem is to run the affected games in a fullscreen borderless window.

Jobine, thank you so much, I was flickering while playing CS:GO with the latest drivers and did this. Apparently it has worked!

I have a question though: Why does this happen? I mean, aren't the latest drivers supposed to be the best and all that?
